This restorative treatment is today’s preferred method of replacing teeth. Dental implants are small titanium posts that replace the root part of your missing tooth. A dental crown acts as the tooth replacement and is attached to the implant. It looks and functions just like your natural teeth.

Rather than a tray of putty-like material that you bite down on so that a model can be made of your teeth, we now offer digital imaging device as an alternative. Now, your teeth are “dusted” with a fine reflective powder, and are recorded by a special camera. A series of images is converted into a 3-D model. The images are used to assess a tooth’s condition or fabricate dental restorations.

Diagnostic x-rays are an invaluable tool for dentists. With the emergence of digital technology in the past decade, dental x-rays are safer and even more useful. Digital technology reduces radiation exposure to patients by as much as 90% over traditional x-rays. There are other advantages, as well. There is no waiting time for pictures to develop, and the images are much sharper and can be enhanced instantly to show detail.

Images are a valuable tool for helping dentists diagnose and treat patients. On a small chair-side monitor, patients can see what the dentist sees with these tiny cameras.
The teeth images can then be saved as stills or video, as well printed out, so patients can see exactly what’s happening in their mouth.
