Like other aspects of your life, the technology used in our office is changing the way we are able to offer our services. Modern advancements are helping our staff improve and change the way dental cleanings are performed, how illnesses are prevented, how oral diseases are diagnosed, and the level of safety we are able to provide for all.
There are a number of technologies we employ in our office that offer real benefit to our patients. Here are a few examples:
- Digital Dental Impressions – Say goodbye to the putty material that was used in the past for impressions and enjoy the pictures taken of your teeth by a special camera, which are transformed into 3D images.
- Digital X-Rays – These are beneficial as there is no wait time for the images to develop and the images are much clearer and can be enhanced to show further details.
- Intraoral Camera – A tiny camera is used to give a chair-side view of what the dentist is seeing in your mouth. This is helpful in showing problem areas and demonstrating which treatment will be beneficial.
- Extraoral Suction Machine – If safety is your main concern, this machine is used during treatment to remove any and all droplets and aerosol vapors from the air.
