Do You Have Healthy Gums?

Have you been seeing a bit of blood in the sink when you brush your teeth? That bleeding can be one of the first warning signs of gum disease. When people think of keeping their teeth healthy, they sometimes neglect to consider the importance of gum health. The mild variety of deteriorating gum health is called gingivitis, which infects only your gums. If it is not treated, the infection can travel below the gumline and into your bone. Then, it becomes a more serious form of gum disease called periodontitis. In fact, both gingivitis and periodontitis can cause damage not just to your teeth and oral health, but also to your overall health by increasing your chances of major health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis.

I had my first visit today and I was so pleased! I am a very picky person when it comes to health care and these folks more than met my expectations. The staff is friendly yet professional. You are made to feel comfortable, not rushed, and most importantly are part of the treatment plan decision making team. You are offered all of the best treatment options and can pick the ones that work for you. No pressure or judgment. I so appreciate that!
Roy Connell

Joseph Brown
First time there. Feel like I found my all-in-one dentist! Super friendly and down to earth from the office staff to techs and docs.

UPDATE 10/13/25
With the money out of pocket we all have to pay for an implant, let alone multiple, one expects a certain level of attention and communication. This review has nothing to do with the expertise and personality of my dentist there because he has been fantastic. I know this is not his mistake at all.

But I will be adding to and withholding my final review and will give a final edit at that time. The lab they use for crowns has cost me two vacation days. Was supposed to come in Oct 6th. That was canceled because implant crowns were not ready. Received another cancellation/reschudule 2 hours before my appointment at 2PM today, October 13th. Also canceled/rescheduled for another week. I will find out the lab they use tomorrow. Implants are not cheap anywhere you go but something got messed up and one deserves a higher level of coordination throughout the entire team at Today's Dental Comfort in Burton, MI.

I would highly recommend Today's Dental Comfort. Excellent service and care with an outstanding staff.

TOP NOTCH DENTAL CARE! I have found a new dentist and I couldn’t be happier! Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. The dental technician was very thorough, gentle and asked me if I was comfortable many times. I had not been to the dentist is a long time due to a previous terrible experience and I am just so happy to have found this practice.
They offer a wonderful dental insurance program that is $30 a month. Please go see them soon if you’ve been hesitant on going to the dentist. Highly recommended !
